Packages & Pricing

Here’s how it works:

First, review this page to get an idea of what you want. Then schedule a consultation with me.

To maintain quality, I can only accept a limited amount of clients each month. So reach out to grab some time with me.

With all of my offerings, I’ll be your editor and project manager. Together, we’ll set a timeline that allows you time to get your applications squeaky clean and super sharp.

Every edit will live in Google Docs so you have access to every version no matter where you are.

Still with me? You can use my services as a package or pick what you need. Packages have set prices, and I have hourly rates if you only need a step or two instead of the full treatment.

Brainstorming—1 hour for $100

What are you gonna write about? I want to know what’s going on in your life, what’s been on your mind lately, and what ideas you already have. Don’t know where to start? Perfect. We’ll find compelling topics that get to the core of who you are and how you can best share that with nothing but a blinking cursor on a white page and a word limit.

Essay Outline—1 hour for $100

Some people like to sit and pour their souls out. Others prefer a more structured approach. As much as I love a good catharsis, the fact is you have two main places to hook your reader. That is, the admissions committee. Right at the beginning—that’s where you hook them. And again in your closing—that’s where you can leave a lasting (good) impression and really tie your entire application together. So that’s what the outlining step is for.

First Edit With Feedback-2 hours for $195

To be honest, this step can take as long as you need. We can always add more time. This is where your story comes together. It’s where you focus on the language, your message, how you tell your story, and how you show your transformation from that hook of an opening to that absolute banger of a closing paragraph. (Note: We will likely not be talking about bangers in your essays. Just so that’s clear). This step is about sharing your raw, vulnerable, beautiful truth. It’s amazing how well people can get to know you when you take a chance to let them in. So let’s do that.

Proofing-1 hour for $100

You didn’t think we were gonna go through all that without a crucial line edit, did you? The difference between typical and atypical is one letter, and we want your essays to be far from the norm—preferably without typos and with proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Don’t lie down your truth—lay it down because “lay” is a verb with a direct object and “lie” means you’re reclining, but the past tense of “lie” is “lay” and wow, English is a weird language. I’ll check if they’re there for their best use so you can take an essay or two to the finish line, too. All puns aside, don’t overlook this step. But do look at the word count because this paragraph is officially over the limit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this service just for Ivy League schools?

Nope! Art schools, public universities, and non-Ivy applications can be just as rigorous. If it’s academic, we’ll do it.

Can I use my essay for multiple colleges?

It depends! I personally used the same essay for a few different schools. You could also repurpose your essay for a scholarship application down the road. While many requirements are similar between colleges, you’ll want to make sure you’re hitting all the right notes throughout your entire application, which requires some tweaks and tailoring.

What value do you bring to this process?

Well, it’s hard to talk about yourself. Essays require self-reflection and a level of analysis many people either second guess, can’t see, or simply don’t have. Editing and telling stories is my profession. Think of me as a professional that has your best interests in mind, wants you to succeed and get into your dream school, and is there to cheer you on every step of the way. That’s pretty valuable, don’t you think?

My teachers say to “just be myself,” so why do I need an essay editing service?

Yes, be yourself… strategically. Your story is yours to tell. I’m here to make you sound smart, polished, capable, and like you’re ready to jump in and be a great fit. That means we’ll remove anything that sounds immature, pointless, rude, or tone-deaf. I promise you have a story to tell—let’s find it.

Can you just write my essay for me?

I can’t. That’s unethical and gets into plagiarism. While every editor brings their own flavor and personal preferences, I’m here to make you sound like yourself. I will also help you choose a topic, draft an outline, tell you what to highlight, and edit your text for flow, grammar, theme, and word count. Feel the rain on your skin. No one else can feel it for you.
